Duties of terminal laborer

National Cement - Jefferson terminal is a bulk distribution facility requiring you to,

- Load and unload flat beds with mortar mix (bagged goods product), unloading rail cars, moving rail cars, and loading tanker trucks. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 100 lbs.

- Performing office procedures such as generating a ticket either by computer or hand bill, fill out daily paper work, and answer the phone. Communicate with employees, truck drivers, and vendors.

- General maintenance knowledge is preferred, but not required, as daily maintenance repairs and troubleshooting procedures are conducted by terminal employees. Must be willing to climb to top of silos for maintenance.

- You will be trained on forklift and track mobile procedures. Track mobile is a machine used to move rail cars around.

- Must be willing to work in various types of weather (hot, cold, rainy, and windy). A large amount of time is spent outside, you should dress accordingly.

- You will be required to clean the terminal as well. This includes, shoveling cement, sweeping, mopping, wiping down areas that need it, and any additional cleaning as determined by management.

Overall, the above listed items are a must to work at National Cement – Jefferson terminal. Other duties may arise throughout the work day that are not listed. As an employee of National Cement, you must be willing to work as a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
