National Bank & Trust is Hiring a Personal Banker Near Corpus Christi, TX

Description

The Personal Banker establishes and maintains effective & professional business relations with our clients. They manage client bank accounts, oversee transactions in an effort to strengthen the relationship with the client, and provides customized services and products to existing and prospective clients in order to best serve their needs.

Requirements

Assumes responsibility for the efficient, effective, and accurate performance of Personal Banker functions.

  • Establishes and maintains effective, professional business relations with clients.
  • Manages client bank accounts, including opening and closing accounts and overseeing transactions in an effort to strengthen the relationship with the client.
  • Presents and sells banking services and products to existing and prospective clients including checking accounts, savings accounts, CD’s, IRAs, loans, and travelers’ checks, based on the client’s needs.
  • Detects and resolves discrepancies promptly. Collaborates with manager and Compliance Officer as needed to resolve issues.
  • Follow Teller procedures, such as preparing documentation to open/close accounts, including obtaining signature and assigning account numbers, receives and processes deposits, wires, transfers, loan payments, cashes checks.
  • Consistently adheres to compliance requirements.
  • Represents the bank in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Examines all documents for endorsements and negotiability and maintains privacy of customer information.
  • Verifies and balances cash daily.
  • Ensures that the Bank’s quality reputation is maintained and projected.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective coordination and working relationships with area personnel and with management.

  • Assists area personnel as required.
  • Assists with training or orientation as needed.
  • Keeps supervisor informed of area activities and of any problems or concerns.
  • Completes required reports and records accurately and promptly.
  • Attends meetings and training classes that may be held on weekdays, evenings, and/or Saturdays.

Assumes responsibility for all other duties as required or assigned.

  • Performs night drop functions as assigned.
  • Performs related clerical duties as assigned.
  • Ensures that work areas are clean, secure, and well maintained.
  • Cross sells Bank products and services.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification:

High school graduate or equivalent

Experience:

At least one year of related experience/cash handling required

Experience in FIS Horizon a plus

Understanding of Bank operations required

Previous Teller or Personal Baker experience required

Skills/Abilities:

Customer Service skills

Communication skills

Professional appearance, dress, and attitude.

Math skills

Typing skills

Ability to operate related computer applications and business equipment including adding machine, copy machine, coin and money counting machines, and telephone

Bilingual a plus
