Job Title: Continuous Improvement Manager - 2880
Function: Performance Assurance

Job Duties:
  • Leads, analyzes, and manages improvements and efficiencies across the TOS contract.
  • Assists in metric development for Performance Review Board meetings to ensure straightforward display of actionable data.
  • Directs and coordinates the leveraging of opportunities and the resolution of process problems. Provides periodic reports to NAS management relative to the effectiveness of the deploying organization process improvement programs and deployment strategies. Recommends solutions to executive or senior management relating to TOS contract challenges and opportunities requiring special attention and reconciliation.
  • Identifies, analyzes, and tracks Cost Savings and Avoidances thru resolution and approval. Responsible for establishing, implementing, leading and continuous improvement program at AEDC across the Test Operations and Sustainment (TOS) domain. Develop, train and deploy Lean Six Sigma skills and capabilities across the Test Operations and Sustainment domain at AEDC.
  • Directs and coordinates the identification and resolution of gaps for an organization, including implementation of multi-function PIE (Process Improvement Effort) solutions and appropriate lean deployment strategies. Responsible for the development, standardization, which may include delivery of Lean Six Sigma training. Formulates lean strategies for senior management approval.
  • Works collaboratively with Project and Functional Management to proactively manage the improvement program and ensure a consistent deployment across the TOS scope that adds value and supports the AEDC customer’s Vision 2024 objectives.
  • Establishes processes to measure performance, analyze results, institutionalize improvements, and establish control mechanisms as appropriate. The TOS contract scope at AEDC will require leaders who work to improve the way people think, the organization’s norms and the organization’s systems and processes.
  • Institutes and tracks change management across the TOS contract targeted at identified contract execution risks. Includes employee surveys, feedback, and follow-up to institutionalize culture improvements.
  • Interacts with individual contributors, functional management, senior leadership and the AEDC customer.
  • It is a condition of employment to wear company issued PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 9 to 12 years of progressive and relevant experience or any equivalent combination of relevance education and progressive and relevant experience.
  • Current U. S. citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Related experience includes but is not limited to experience in trend or cause analysis, or Six Sigma fundamentals. Proficient at directing, facilitating and leading diverse teams to achieve timely deliverables.
  • Flexibility to respond to urgent requests and changing priorities.
  • Experience establishing, monitoring, and analyzing data and reporting results to management.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and influence change at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to take initiative, maintain confidentiality, meet deadlines, and work in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and applicable standards that impact the performance assurance program.
  • Knowledge of the LEAN/Six Sigma principles and programs and their application to other functions.
  • Knowledge of the application of corrective actions and nonconformance reporting and closure
  • processes.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and outstanding leadership, interpersonal skills and
  • organizational abilities.
