National Academic Educational Partners is Hiring a High School Science Teacher Near Kissimmee, FL

  • The National Academic Educational Partners are seeking a certified teacher for Environmental and Biology Science Courses. Teachers must be certified to teach Science at the middle and/or high school level.

NAEP seeks highly motivated teachers that are passionate about meeting students where they are academically and empowering them to learn and grow within their appropriate standards to the great extent possible.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The teacher develops and implements lesson plans for specific classes utilizing standards, curriculum and course(s) of study.
  • Instructs scholars in citizenship and basic subject matter specified in state law and administrative regulations and procedures of the school district.
  • Provides individualized, small group, and differentiated instruction in order to meet the needs of each scholar.
  • Evaluates scholars’ academic and social growth, keeps appropriate records, and prepares progress reports.
  • Maintains professional competence through in-service, workshops, and other professional development activities both during and after hours, as required (and compensated) by the school leadership team.
  • Communicates with parents through conferences and other means to discuss scholars’ progress and interpret the school program.
  • Identifies scholar needs and cooperates with other professional staff members in assessing and helping scholars solve health, attitude, and learning problems.
  • Participates in the IEP process as appropriate and as required by law.
  • Creates an effective environment for learning through functional and attractive displays, bulletin boards, and interest centers.
  • Collaborates with the appropriate administrator on the evaluation process in conformance with district evaluation guidelines.
  • Selects and requisitions books and instructional aids; maintains required inventory records.
  • Administers appropriate tests and/or assessments.
  • Participates in faculty meetings, committees and the sponsorship of scholar activities.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA) from an accredited college or university or equivalent.
  • Possession of valid teaching certification.
  • VCS is a 21st century school thus a high level of technology comfort and fluency is a critical element for interested candidates. Teacher should demonstrate proficient experience with Google Mail and Google Drive, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Student Information System (SIS) and email communications.
  • Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years successful teaching experience (may include Student Teaching Internship experience).
  • Command of grades/subject specific content and theoretical knowledge of learning theory, including motivation, reinforcement, evaluation and feedback techniques.
  • Understanding of and commitment to company values.
  • Successful results of criminal and employment background check.
  • Possesses strong time management & organizational skills and the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Has the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with teachers, students, parents, the community, and administrative staff.
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal skills and displays such between all stakeholders: being courteous, professional, and helpful.
  • Possesses excellent communication skills: Oral (including presentations), Written, Interpersonal (active listening), Negotiating and Influencing.
  • Demonstrates proficient experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Student Information System (SIS) and email communications.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $47,500.00 - $60,000.00 per year
