Natchitoches Regional Medical Center is Hiring a RN Charge Nurse - Full Time - PM Shift - M-F Near Natchitoches, LA
Monday - Friday Night Shift (Hours are flexible) - Will be in an on-call rotation.
Position Summary:
Under the direction and guidance of the Assistant Director of Nursing and the Director of Nursing of Courtyard of Natchitoches, the RN Charge nurse compliments the ADON in planning, developing and supervising of the activities of licensed and non-licensed personnel who provide health care and nursing services to Nursing Home residents. This position assists with the development and implementation of nursing services, objectives, policies and procedures in accordance with Federal and State regulations. Is responsible for the oversight of the Incident Reports, Monitoring of Daily telephone orders, Labs, and Infection Control. Is in attendance at weekly Interdisciplinary Team Meetings, and physician rounding within the unit. The RN Charge Nurse further shares responsibility for backing up RN staff on a 24-hour/7-day per week basis. She/he confers with residents’ physician on an as needed basis to clarify medical orders and direct care. The RN Charge Nurse will have the ability to interact with all customers (co-workers, patients, families, physicians, vendors, etc.) of Courtyard of Natchitoches with hospitality and the highest standards of customer service, exhibiting professionalism and a spirit of teamwork. Qualification Requirements:
Minimum requirements necessary to effectively perform position responsibilities include graduation from an Accredited School of Nursing with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred; licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Louisiana; 3-5 years of responsible nursing experience, preferably in a long-term care facility; basic computer skills; excellent communication and management skills or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience, respect for principles of resident rights, confidentiality, EEO and ADA.
