Natchez Trace Youth Academy is seeking an experience Receptionist to work weekends, Saturday and Sunday, 9 : a.m. - 4 : p.

m. This role involves greeting visitors, answering and routing phone calls, handling inquires, and performing a variety of clerical tasks to support the organization's operations.

The ideal candidate will have experience with MS Office Suite, multi-line phone system, and strong customer service skills.

SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • The Receptionist will follow strict access procedures prior to admitting visitors through the security gate. Upon admission, the Receptionist will assist in directing visitors to the appropriate person(s).
  • Answers, screens and forwards incoming phone calls.
  • Oversees the scheduled Sunday visitation of patients in accordance with established guidelines ensuring that guests are checked in properly and visitation timelines are adhered to.
  • Ensures the reception area is tidy and presentable, along with the adjoining conference / break room.
  • Maintains office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor visitor logbook, issue visitor badges, etc.)

Qualifications

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS :

High School diploma or equivalent; additional certification in Office Management is a plus.

EXPERIENCE :

  • Verifiable work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or similar role
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Hands-on experience with office equipment, e.g. copiers, printers, multi-line phone system
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
  • Excellent organizatioanl skills
  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills
  • Customer service attitude.
