Natchez Trace Youth Academy is seeking dynamic and talented Team Leader, to join our team of compassionate, dedicated individuals to help us continue our tradition of helping young men achieve the greatest chance of success possible. The Team Leader serves as Supervisor of a student dormitory overseeing residents and staff in accordance with Service Excellence standards. The TL utilizes intervention techniques with residents to help facilitate growth and healing through the therapeutic treatment process.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Leads in group therapy and assists supervising one-to-one therapy.
• Observes the peer culture to see if any problems are present and recommends and implements solutions if necessary.
• Coordinates the daily treatment program on all shifts.
• Schedules staff for maximum coverage and optimal use.
• Assists other Team Leaders in coordinating all required documentation and supervises staff in the completion of their responsibilities.
• Handles emergency situations in conjunction with other Team Leaders.
• Assists the Program Coordinator in training and orienting new staff.
• Attends staff development training to insure updated material to complete with the changing job market and to meet all facility and regulatory training requirements.
• Demonstrates thorough program knowledge via handbook test and daily activities in the milieu.
• Maintains professional, effective working relationship and good rapport with members of all departments and direct care staff.
• Assures compliance with company policies and procedures through diligent supervision and examination of all unit activity/workflow, including monitoring documentation for accuracy and legibility.
• This responsibility requires being on-call when off duty. On-call responsibility includes the ability to come to work during emergency situations and facilitating additional back up staff when necessary.

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree preferred in the fields of psychology, social work of criminal justice from an accredited college or university
• One (1) year experience in a residential treatment or children's services program preferred.
• Valid state driver's license.
