We pride ourselves on combining aesthetic content with thoughtful product curation and reviews, which has been a key driver in the growth of the business over time. To continue this momentum, we are looking to add a team member to assist with content production.

Job Description

This contract position is available immediately and runs through August with potential for renewal or transition to a part-time position based on performance and business needs.

It is suitable for a freelance photographer/videographer or for someone with a natural eye for aesthetics looking to gain experience in photography and videography as well as exposure to the content creator industry. The Content Creation Assistant will assist with filling the creative needs associated with NatalieYerger.com and the Natalie Yerger social media channels. These primarily include DSLR/iPhone photography and iPhone videography. Graphic design, copywriting, editing, and publishing tasks can be assigned if there is interest in additional hours.

Core Responsibilities

• Assist with the production of media assets including images, videos, designs, and copy.
• Work with Natalie to develop and execute ideas for more content.

Day to Day Tasks

• Photography—Shoot on location to create photos to be used in blog posts and on social channels. Examples may include full body and closeup portraits, detail shots, and city shots.
• Videography—Shoot on location to create video footage to be used in Instagram stories, Reels, Pinterest videos, etc.
• Content Planning and Concept Development—Research and ideate new content ideas for the blog and social media that suit our brand and our business’ goals. Develop concepts and shot lists for photoshoots, including sponsored posts.
• Other duties as assigned.

Content creation is at the heart of our business, and the Content Creation Assistant makes the process easier by taking on many of the essential tasks associated with publishing new content at a rapid pace.

Qualifications

• Experience in photography and videography. At the very least, a proven eye for composition and aesthetics and a willingness to quickly learn camera gear, editing techniques, and photography technology.
• Proactive about ensuring all video and photo content is on brand, high quality, and aesthetically pleasing. Attention to detail and an ability to think creatively with minimal direction is crucial, as we are often changing shoot plans and backgrounds based on the weather, season, outfit styles, and time of day.
• Problem solver who is able to work independently, recognize potential needs, and act on them before they arise.
• Experience working with social media platforms, including Instagram and Pinterest, Wordpress, and FloDesk (newsletters) is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.

Essential Functions

• Able to work well autonomously and in a team environment.
• Able to work on a computer.
• Able to schedule photo and video shoots on a weekly basis as the weather permits, as we are often navigating rain, clouds, traffic, events, etc.

Job Types: Contract, Temporary, Internship

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week
