Role : Data Analyst

Location: Remote ( Local to AZ )

Duration: 1 year

Type : Contract

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Analyst sits on the Data Analytics team and serves as the point-of-contact for all questions data stored in the Data warehouse. This position develops, maintains, and distributes presentations and reports. The Analyst extracts data from the data warehouse to answer ad hoc questions. The Analyst will also in analyzing requirements for report requests that are coming to the BI cross functional teams. The Analyst applies their understanding of the business and the data warehouse to evaluate information needs and recommends and develops appropriate solutions (metrics, analyses, data collection, tool functionality, etc.)

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Researches and resolves data inquiries and requests.
  • Provides insights and serves as a subject matter expert for all data in the warehouse.
  • Helps with creating and maintaining the data catalog for the warehouse and BI metrics.
  • Writes ad-hoc SQL queries to pull data out of the data warehouse.
  • Documents requirements for data science and reporting projects.
  • Supports the development of standard data analyses, reports, and dashboards.
  • Collaborates with other teams to gather data and build relationships.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with reporting tools (Power BI, Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence)
  • Experience with analytical tools such as Sagemaker, or other equivalent tools
  • Experience with Denodo a data virtualization and real time integration tool.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
  • Strong communication skills to work with business stakeholders.
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5 years of experience in data analysis using SQL or other tools.
  • 3 years of experience in building data driven analytics
