POSITION: Title 1 Blast-Off to Paraeducator LOCATION: Fairgrounds Elementary School REPORTS TO: Director of Title 1 WORK YEAR: July 8 - August 2, 2024 (Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM) SALARY RANGE: Internal Paraeducators will be paid their current hourly rate.
QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED. Title 1 Schools require Highly Qualified Status that would include either an Associate's Degree or an equivalent two years of college, Bachelor degree or Paraeducator II certification from the NH Dept of Education.
EXPLANATION OF PARAEDUCATORS JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Instructional Paraeducator: Under the direction of the classroom teacher the Paraeducator assists in the implementation and reinforcement of the instructional curriculum, helps prepare and administer testing, provide input to teachers, guidance counselors, and school administration regarding student performance. Title 1, Kindergarten, ELL and Special Education Instructional paraeducators fall under this category.
