POSITION: Continuing Substitute - .43 Teacher of the Visually Impaired LOCATION: District Wide WORK YEAR: 2022-2023 School Year SALARY RANGE: $40,284 - $79,804 pro-rated for .43 FTE QUALIFICATIONS: Teaching applicants must be NH certified or eligible as a Teacher of Visual Impairments .
SUMMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position provides instruction for students with moderate to severe visual impairments by developing, selecting and modifying instructional plans and materials to meet the needs of students utilizing Braille, large print and technological devices. Research, objectives and methods of service delivery, and assist with working on student IEP's so that students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences. Assist teachers to become familiar with the unique educational needs and learning characteristics of students with this impairment to enhance the instructional environment and demonstrate a gain in student performance. Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as: meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating and professional development.
