NASCENT Technology, LLC. (NASCENT) is seeking a talented C#/VB.NET software developer. The candidate will be a key member of an Agile development team responsible for designing, building, and maintaining commercial software applications that automate the gating operations for some of the busiest and largest seaports, railways, and commercial distribution centers in the world. Successful candidate should be responsible, motivated, and a self-starter.
Develop and support software in .NET /C#/VB.NET/SQL Server/Web Services/WCF Data Services.
Participate in an agile development environment.
Follows and learns development methodologies from lead and senior resources.
Other development tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: NET SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

Degree from a two or four-year college or university or equivalent work experience
Good communication skills both verbal and written with strong analytical and organizational skills
Excels at operating in a fast pace, collaborative environment.
3 ( ) years’ experience with C#/VB.NET
3 ( ) years’ experience with SQL
Understanding of object-oriented programming.
Knowledge of the Microsoft .NET Framework, including Visual Studio, C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, Web Services, ADO.NET, etc.
Knowledge of Microsoft SQL, including development of Stored Procedures
Familiarity with software development lifecycle, (SDLC) best practices.
Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks.
Ability to make decisions and solve problems in a high-paced environment.

DESIRABLE SKILLS: .NET SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

Familiarity with advanced software/testing methodologies
Experience working with TCP/IP socket communications
Knowledge of transportation and supply chain segment including but not limited to shipping ports, rails, distribution centers and carriers.
