Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Server to join our team. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring an enjoyable dining experience.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat guests in a timely and friendly manner
- Present menus to guests and answer any questions regarding menu items
- Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests
- Upsell additional items to enhance the dining experience
- Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner
- Ensure guest satisfaction by checking on them throughout their meal
- Process guest payments using cash register or POS system
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately
- Assist with food preparation as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the dining area
Skills:
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and outgoing personality
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for accurate order taking and bill calculation
- Knowledge of sales techniques to upsell menu items
- Familiarity with food preparation and safety guidelines
- Experience with cash handling and operating a cash register or POS system (Aloha POS)
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
