Lincoln in Glenview Il. is looking for a skilled and experienced Automotive Technician to join our team. Our ideal candidate is a hard worker who is mechanically inclined and enjoys working on a team.

The Role at a Glance We are growing and excited to bring on a Technician to join our team. The focus of the Technician revolves around repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning etc. The ideal candidate will have a passion for performing work with efficiency and in accordance with the dealership.

What you'll do Communicating directly with the Service Advisor to ensure that the customer is informed of any additional service that is needed and provide an estimate of the time needed for additional repairs.

• Diagnosing and repairing vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, suspension, brakes, fuel system, oil change, and water system
• Inspecting vehicle mechanical and electrical functions for proper performance
• Troubleshooting vehicle systems to diagnose mechanical issues
• Repairing vehicle mechanical systems and electrical systems
• Admitting of vehicle malfunctions to appropriate personnel and establishing or maintaining preventative maintenance programs for these functions
• Maintaining an organized inventory of parts and tools required to repair vehicles
• Performing other related duties as assigned by management

Must-haves:

• 2- 4 years of dealership technician experience
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet insurability standards

Nice-to-haves:

• Lincoln brand experience preferred
