Job Summary:
The Automotive Apprentice Technician at Napleton Auto Group National Dealership in Blue Island, Illinois, is responsible for gaining hands-on experience and knowledge through on-the-job training in order to become a skilled and knowledgeable Technician for Ford/Lincoln vehicles. This is a full-time position with a salary compensation of $19 to $25 per hour, paid weekly. The chosen candidate will have the opportunity to work with a team of experienced technicians and receive ongoing training and development.

Responsibilities:
Work under the supervision and guidance of experienced technicians to learn repair and maintenance procedures for Ford/Lincoln vehicles.
Assist in diagnosing and repairing various vehicle issues, including engine, transmission, suspension, and electrical systems.
Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
Keep a clean and organized work area.
Attend training sessions and complete online courses to further develop skills and knowledge.
Communicate effectively with team members and customers.
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of a vocational or technical training program in automotive technology is preferred.
2 years experience working on Ford or Lincoln vehicles in a dealership and own tools required.
Basic knowledge of automotive systems and components.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
