The Position:

As a Logistics and Inventory Lead, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the efficient management of logistics operations and inventory control within our organization. You will be responsible for ensuring the seamless flow of goods, optimizing inventory levels, and implementing strategies to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. This position requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of logistics and inventory management principles.

Responsibilities

Logistics Management:

  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to streamline transportation, distribution, and warehousing processes.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and third-party logistics providers to ensure timely delivery of goods while minimizing costs.
  • Monitor transportation routes, schedules, and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Resolve logistics-related issues and challenges promptly to maintain smooth operations.
  • Process all shipments.
  • Assist in picking/packing orders.
  • Assist with processing RMAs.
  • Maintain Amazon Inventory
  • Handle all Dangerous Goods Shipments
  • report ASNs to appropriate systems
  • Load/Unload Trailers

Inventory Control:

  • Oversee the inventory management system to accurately track inventory levels, stock movements, and replenishment needs.
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to minimize stockouts, excess inventory, and obsolescence.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy and integrity.
  • Analyze inventory data and trends to forecast demand, optimize stocking levels, and identify opportunities for inventory optimization.
  • Work with Purchasing to keep inventory levels controlled.
  • Perform Cycle Counts
  • Lead Year End Inventory Counts

Supplier and Vendor Management:

  • Establish strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of quality products and services.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to optimize procurement costs and terms.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and compliance with contractual agreements, implementing corrective actions as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in logistics management, inventory control, and supply chain operations, preferably in a managerial role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team building, coaching, and development.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in logistics and inventory management.
  • Forklift certified or previous experience.
