Reliable, Engaging Nanny Needed for Newcastle Toddler

DETAILS:

Location: Newcastle, WA

• Ideal start date: May 2024/ASAP
• Schedule: Three days per week (the days are flexible, but will stay fixed once set), from 4:00pm-8:00pm (12 hours per week)
• Child: 2 year old boy
• Compensation: $26-30/hour depending on experience with guaranteed hours (family is open to discussing additional compensation package items)
• Six month minimum commitment required. The family is looking for a good long-term fit, and there is definitely an option to extend for the right person!

The Family:

This father and son duo is seeking a reliable, loving nanny to help out during the afternoon/evening times. The family values open communication and mutual trust and respect.

The boy is a sweet, cheerful child who is curious to explore, experience, and learn about the world around him. Dad is a busy professional who works outside of the home. By inviting a nanny into their circle, he hopes to have more flexibility with his work end time and ensure the evenings are relaxed and consistent in the home.

The Job Description:

The nanny will be responsible for ensuring a safe, nurturing and loving environment for the child. Typical job duties will include:

• Daycare pickup at 4pm each day
• Providing safe transportation home from daycare
• General care (diapers, helping with potty time, bath time, bedtime routines)
• Snack and meal prep for the toddler
• Fostering and nurturing the child’s curiosity by incorporating enriching age appropriate play and developmental activities, indoors and outdoors
• Facilitating the child’s evening routine (play, bath, bedtime)
• Maintaining organization of child’s room and play spaces
• Child’s laundry
• Tidying of spaces used throughout the day (wiping counters, cleaning up/tidying any messes made during the day including in the kitchen/dishes)

Nanny Attributes/Qualifications/Requirements:

The family is looking to partner with a nanny with 2 years of experience who is reliable, engaging, and genuinely enjoys working with children. They should be a good communicator

The nanny should have a valid driver’s license, a safe vehicle for use on the job, and a clean driving record. They should be up to date with their Covid vaccine and booster, and have a current CPR/First Aid Certification (or be willing to update asap).

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
