This position performs a variety of cleaning, maintenance, food preparation, stocking, or serving duties in a commercial hotel food service area.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Washes food service area objects by hand or with cleaning equipment.
Cleans dishes, utensils, pots, pans etc. and places in assigned storage areas in an organized and orderly manner.
Cleans, sweep, mop and wipe down all general food service areas and equipment.
Removes garbage from assigned areas, sets up or breaks down tables, etc.
May assist cooks or others as needed and coordinates one’s own activities with other food service activities and requirements.
Properly, safely and efficiently prepare food products while following standard food-handling procedures.
Assists with various periodically scheduled large cleaning projects.
May maintain a variety of products at certain levels in preparation, serving, or storage areas including service machines.
May stock storage areas with various products.
Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit’s success also may be assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
The ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, callouts, etc.
Food Handler card, Alaska Food Workers card, or ServSafe certification within 30 days of employment.
Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
Some prior experience or training which demonstrates knowledge of cleaning equipment / processes or a suitability for and interest in this type of work, preferred.
