A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A COOK As a Cook, you play a vital role in ensuring students receive nutritious meals during the school day. You also assist the culinary team with preparing food for banquets and sporting events as required. After reviewing the needs of the day with the supervisor on duty, you get right to work. Your reliability and flexibility make you a valuable asset, whether you're cooking during the day or assisting with evening and weekend shifts.When not actively engaged in food preparation, you help with maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen by wiping down surfaces and ensuring supplies are properly stored.
