Job Summary:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a home care setting. Your role will involve assisting with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring the well-being of our residents.
Duties:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Help with meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met
- Support individuals in their daily activities, such as medication management and transportation
- Promote independence and encourage participation in community-based activities
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and resident progress
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of resident information
- Advocate for resident rights and ensure a safe and supportive environment
Requirements:
- Previous experience in senior care, working with people with developmental disabilities, or related field is preferred
- Knowledge of home care practices and patient care techniques
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to take vital signs and monitor health conditions as needed
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

- DSP: 1 year (Preferred)
