Overview

Nakupuna Solutions is looking for an SAP Consultant to join our team of talented consultants providing professional services (to include accounting, budgeting, cost analysis, systems analysis, manpower analysis, fiscal policy, program analysis, administrative support, audit readiness, and training) to the Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) G8. The mission of the CECOM G8 is to provide optimal and responsive Resource Management solutions that support the integration and sustainment of C5ISR readiness for the Army. The Sr. SAP Consultant will provide support for the operation, administration, and maintenance of financial systems in locations worldwide and will establish resource management business processes in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) (General Funds Enterprise Business Systems (GFEBS) and Logistics Modernization Program (LMP)) systems environment.

Responsibilities

The following reflects management's definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign additional duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.

    Participate in studies and evaluations of Resource Management (RM) systems to determine operational acceptability and usability. Contractor shall identify issues as they pertain to GFEBS system interfaces, (e.g., Access on Line (AXOL) to LMP/GFEBS; Procurement Automated Data and Document System (PADDS)/LMP/GFEBS; ATAAPS/GFEBS and other interfaces as identified during system sustainment activities).
  • Provide technical system support to all G8 divisions in the use of functional systems and automated tools and techniques to offer better reconciliation and analysis of financial data. This includes providing support with mapping required business processes with the ERP systems for sustainment and future system enhance releases.
  • Prepare and review system change requests and other necessary Automated Data Processing (ADP) functional documentation in support of system design and implementation. The SAP Consultant shall provide all analysis feedback on sustainment/release activities to the CECOM Systems Management Division Chief. In coordination with the FSMD Project Lead the Contractor shall develop an implementation plan for all system change requests scheduled for deployment.
  • Create and automate a process that will provide the G8 the ability to track, analyze, and reconcile execution on Overhead accounts within GFEBS.
  • Recommend, develop and coordinate Business Intelligence reporting tools to better equip the G8 and CECOM command with information for more effective program execution. Utilize SharePoint to design and build collaboration on business processes and workflows to maintain efficiencies and audit compliance.
  • Assist with command reimbursable customer communications letters, Functional Support Agreements (FSA) and Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests (MIPR) agreements. Provide integrated process to extract the customer project details, provide analysis and status, and generate the customer letter with appropriate information for customers.
  • Provide customer training and assistance with respect to command requirements and systems to: (1) Oversight and training on the FY startup processes; (2) Daily rate process sessions for in-depth analysis and understanding; (3) Labor rate consulting as needed for calculation change implementations; (4) Insight and documentation of the Indirect program and process flow; and (5) Ad hoc training as needed.
  • Maintain professional relationships with headquarters and subcommands. Collaborate with AMC/DASA/CECOM on the Indirect Standard GFEBS Master Data requirements and setup. Ensure all Army Material Command (AMC) timelines are met.
  • Evaluate, research, and complete tickets as required thru Workflow Analysis and Tracking Tool (WTT), the CECOM G8 Ticket System used for workflow evaluation and management.
  • Expert understanding of the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS). Test and Validate the TRIAGE process with new requirements. Assure the synchronization, standardization, increase visibility, and continuous validation of Reimbursable accounts thru the WBS Triage process. Provide solutions to any concerns identified above.
  • Perform GFEBS Master Data Builds and Maintenance. Create and provide maintenance of the ERP master data for operational efficiency and accuracy. Enhance tools to include any logic and calculation changes as determined by both AMC and G8 projected years master data. Provide continuous collaboration and training support to G8 POC's for SAP processes and data requirements. Adhere and respond to all DOD OPORD requirement changes, indirect program and Rates board.
  • Expert understanding of the Financial Management Information System (FMIS) used by CECOM for planning, execution, and reporting. Provide insight and solutions for master data, indirect processes and interfaces required for planning the CY. Provide logic and processing to the Rates Tool as required for new changing requirements. Continue to advise customer as needed on rates and cost impacts in systems.
  • Provide Indirect Process Planning and Overhead Execution support. Collect appropriate costs from customers based on labor hours processed in the period. Update and validate the process tool for OH execution analysis. Validate the current year Internal Order (IO) Triage process in order to assure appropriate execution and provide visibility of Indirect Programs from the Planning, Master Matrix, Cost Pools and Costing Sheets thru to Execution. Provide continuity to future year indirect planning. Expand collaboration with DASA-CE and AMC for Tiered Indirect approach and Master data changes for FY. Provide insight to the planning processes and data requirements with changing timelines.
  • Provide customer variance support with respect to actual pay versus cost of labor. Utilize standard GFEBS DLVR report to deliver correct hourly values and transactional insight in GFEBS. Provide monthly variance execution files from GFEBS for FY. Resolve unique FMS variance issues. Provide systemic process assessments to distribute costs to CECOM customers based on predetermined metrics. Facilitate periodic processing. Consulted as needed for process execution and validation.
Qualifications

Education/Qualifications:

  • B.A. /B.S. Degree in a business field required. Master's degree in Business, Finance, or Management Information System desired.
  • 10 years of experience required (can be concurrent or non-concurrent) with:
    • DoD Financial Management/ERP systems integrations, as an SAP ERP analyst and consultant for Army Financial Systems,
    • implementation or upgrade of SAP ERP central component (SAP ECC) experience,
    • experience resolving complex LMP and GFEBS issues, with experience in design and implementation of LMP and GFEBS interfaces
    • expertise in SAP Tables and back-end components of Army systems.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequently lift and/or move parts up to 40lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move parts up to 50lbs
  • Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl for many continuous working hours
  • Frequently use arms, hands, and fingers to grasp and move network equipment
  • Frequently bend, stretch, twist, orreach overhead when moving network equipment
