NAFI Connecticut is Hiring a Program Director Near Litchfield, CT

NAFI CT is a leading provider of programs and services throughout Connecticut, offering tailored treatment options designed to meet the unique strengths and needs of adults, children, adolescents, and families.

We are currently seeking a motivated and dedicated leader to join our Unaccompanied Children’s shelter program in the role of Program Director. NAFI’s shelter program is located in Litchfield, CT and provides assessment and unification of unaccompanied teen girls ages 13-17. The program is high paced and requires a dynamic leader! The Program Director is responsible for leading a highly qualified multi-disciplinary team including nursing, medical, education, case management, clinical and residential staff. The ideal candidate will have experience working in residential or group home settings, budget development and maintenance, experience with accreditation and quality assurance initiatives, and experience working in programs funded by the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR).

Program Director Essential functions:

  • Staff Supervision: Provide supervision to a Lead Teacher, Lead Clinician, Program Nurse, Assistant Program Director and administrative staff.
  • Client Services: Develop a culture where the youth feel safe to begin the healing process. Facilitate weekly community meetings; manage the youth grievance process.
  • Documentation: Ensuring documentation timelines are in accordance to ORR guidance, agency policy and procedure and accreditation standards.
  • Training and Development: Providing training and ongoing support to staff members to enhance their skills and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Collaboration: Develop relationships with community providers and other ORR providers.
  • Quality Assurance: Conducting regular reviews of staff documentation; data and case management standards.
  • Administrative Tasks: Performing administrative duties such as staff scheduling, development of budget and regular review, complete quality assurance reports, on-call is required.
  • Schedule: This position is in person and requires flexibility.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Candidate must have a Bachler’s Degree in a related field, Masters Preferred
  • Must be bi-lingual; Spanish-English (Required)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Experience with electronic health records
  • Supervisory Experience
