The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Finance Team. NAEYC is a501(c)(3) professional membership organization with 90 employees across the United States. The organization maintains an innovative environment deeply focused on vision, mission, values and beliefs; and works to promote high-quality early learning for each and every child, birth through age 8, by connecting early childhood practice, policy, and research. NAEYC advances a diverse, dynamic early childhood profession and supports all who care for, educate, and work on behalf of young children.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance and Accounting, the Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in the building and strengthening of NAEYC's accounting operations. This includes the establishment or refinement of processes, improvement or replacement of software systems, and the retraining and coaching of accounting staff. These innovative advancements will contribute to increasing the integrity and accuracy of NAEYC's financial management and financial statements.

Position Designation: Business Support indicates that the role supports the overall strategic direction of NAEYC, but is not required to travel, have a daily presence in the office, or be called upon in the event of an emergency or crisis. This role is eligible for telework and a hybrid schedule with one day per week onsite in the office. Telework and remote work eligibility is subject to NAEYC's Telework and Remote Work Policy.
