Job Summary:

This position is responsible for receiving product and maintaining physical warehouse inventory and code dates while promoting a safe work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The following essential functions are typical for this position. This position may perform additional or different functions from those set forth below to address organization needs and changing organizational practices:

  • Supervises operations workforce. Coordinates and assigns job responsibilities to workers including temporary workers.
  • Ensures safe, accurate, and efficient receiving and rotating of all products.
  • Conduct inventory audits of physical inventory. Perform mandated regularly scheduled physical inventory.
  • Maintain and update location-based inventory data and product inventory including weight, UPC data, and pallet configurations.
  • Monitor and tag code dates and maintain accurate rotation of products.
  • Monitor days of inventory and communicate with Warehouse Manager.
  • Maintain inventory systems.
  • Monitor and examine pick line for operational effectiveness.
  • Establish receiving and replenishment tasks.
  • Receive product into route accounting system.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with outside vendors and trucking companies.
  • Enforce and adhere to all company policies 
  • Track and analyze operations efficiency measures. 
  • Conduct quality control and safety inspection of work procedures. 
  • Enforces and promotes safe working practices. Communicate with personnel within our departments of Operations, Sales, and Admin. 
  • Operate a computer and other office equipment as assigned.
  • Operate forklift truck and picker when necessary.
  • Serve as a back up to other supervisors/shifts in Operations as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Required: 

  • High School diploma or GED required. 
  • Any combination of education and/or experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities necessary for satisfactory job performance. 
  • Valid class D driver's license and driving record that meets with company guidelines.
  • Must be 18 years of age. 
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen, for a safety sensitive position.
  • Able to perform basic math calculations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact positively and effectively with various types of people. 
  • Detail-oriented and able to prioritize tasks and time to ensure completion of all daily projects. 
  • Experience using Microsoft Suite. 
  • Willingness to work the overnight shift as well as other shifts, if necessary. Ensure continuity of supervision coverage before leaving at the end of the shift, taking breaks or leaving the worksite.

Preferred: 

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business administration, inventory control, warehouse, facilities and fleet management is preferred.
  • Operational characteristics and use of standard equipment including computers and applicable software applications such as, but not limited to, Word, Excel, Easy Ops, VIP, VIP Legacy, Beverage on the Web.
  • Leadership skills, comfort level with change, and the ability to lead change. 
  • Applicable federal, state, and local laws, codes and regulations including those related to facilities and fleet maintenance and safety standards, such as: D.O.T. and OSHA regulations.
  • Occupational hazards and standard safety procedures. 
  • Forklift and beverage experience preferred. 
  • Technical and problem-solving skills. Capable of analyzing issues, identify solutions, propose actions and implement recommendations, if approved.
