Job Description:

The team is responsible for the operation and continuous development of all Storage-related services that enable the functioning of Technology teams, Products, and Services across the IT estate. Key technologies of responsibility are File Storage (NAS), Object Storage, Block Storage, Storage Are Network (SAN), Backup infrastructure, and Flash Storage for VDI.

Key Accountabilities for Storage Admin:

• Support for the hardware and software of a highly available storage infrastructure
• Performance and capacity management
• Planning, conception and implementation of software and microcode release changes
• The integration of backup and archiving procedures in complex system environments
• The development, implementation and control of backup and recovery strategies
• Support and advice in projects regarding the use of storage systems and backup procedures
• Ensure Service Quality Targets are met for offered platform services
• Create documentation for the team which is helpful in doing the job
• Work on production support tickets and provide L1 as well as L2 support
• Be part of the team and participate in the on-call service
• Work on permanent issue fix

Key Requirements for Storage Admin:

• University graduate of Computer Science or other comparable qualification
• Netapp storage Engineer with minimum– 5yrs experience with Advanced knowledge of Netapp – NAS (FAS / AFF)
• Good knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Python, Perl, Javascript)
• A high degree of analysis and problem recognition ability as well as appropriate solution-finding
• An analytical, conceptual and structured approach
• The willingness to take personal responsibility, high reliability and the ability to work in a global team
• Quality awareness and a strong understanding of services are given
• Knowledge of operational management according to ITIL, agile working methods and project experience 
• Very good command of English
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
