Become a member of our winning team! We have opportunities as an EPG/Marine Technician - Field Rotator in our Service Department at our Anchorage, Alaska Branch.

Hourly Range: $52.60-56.60 per hour-based on skills & experience

Rotator Position: 3 weeks on/ 3 weeks off; 8 hours per day - 7 days a week.

Do you like to solve technical problems? Are you effective at troubleshooting? If so, we have a position for you at our Anchorage location. Our technicians are responsible for diagnosing and repairing of Caterpillar equipment (including removing, repairing, assembling and installing). We have an opportunity for you to diagnose and troubleshoot engines, generators, automatic transfer switches, uninterruptable power supplies and switchgear. You will need to have experience with CAT diagnostic equipment, CAT repair tooling, rigging and blocking equipment. This position requires planning and organizing skills with a particular emphasis on controlling job costs. You will need to investigate, analyze and identify problem in order to make recommendations for eliminating the problem.

Qualifications & Experience Needed: A high school degree (or equivalent) or a graduate of a 2-4 year vocational technical school training institution or equivalent experience is required.

• A valid driver's license will be required.
• Operation of equipment such as forklifts, hydraulic and mechanical presses, hoists, cranes, pressure washers will be necessary.
• You will need to be proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Outlook).
• This role requires the ability to stand up to eight hours per day and includes twisting, bending, squatting, sitting stooping and kneeling.
• Travel to work with our customers in Anchorage and the greater Alaska area will be required.
• Experience working at a Caterpillar (CAT) dealership or with CAT products is ideal.
• 5 years experience working with electrical power generators, ATS’s and switchgear.
