MYSTAF is Hiring a Family Self-Sufficiency Coordinator Near Wichita Falls, TX
Local Housing Company / Family Self-Sufficiency Coordinator
Pay: $24/hr
Hours: Monday - Friday 8-4:30
Job Duties:
Develop and maintain a comprehensive network of education, training, mental health, substance abuse, economic development and other supportive services for FSS Participants.
Work with and support FSS participants in their efforts to secure employment, training and education by defining goals that are clear, measurable, and have a time frame.
Have regular contact with clients to include in person, by phone, and in writing.
Complete well organized case files that accurately reflect services provided as needed.
Complete paperwork, monthly reports, and case notes accurately and on a timely basis.
Attend and actively participate in case staffing and agency meetings, weekly and as requested.
Follow up on all referrals to ensure that adequate, appropriate services are being provided.
Collect program data to track resident progress on a monthly basis.
Actively recruit for FSS programs on an as needed basis to assure all program slots are filled.
Pro-actively develop and promote self-reliance activities for families including but not limited to financial counseling, homeownerships and GED programs.
Research similar programs and conduct literature reviews on a regular basis to ensure programs are run effectively and efficiently.
Coordinate support services (I.e. mental health, day care, transportation, substance abuse, etc.) with appropriate community agencies.
Evaluate needs and gaps in services and work to identify solutions.
Support resident service co-workers and work as a team to accomplish agency, department and program goals.
Accurately maintain escrow accounts, including monthly reconciliation with accounting and housing management, monthly reports, and annual notification to tenants.
Complete all paperwork including but not limited to monthly reports, grant appeal and reports, data collection and other s as needed.
Some evenings & weekends may be required
Solve complex issues and diffuse difficult situations
Approach problems proactively with solution focus
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Establish working relationships with residents, co-workers and other professionals. Work effectively with people from a variety of social, economic and racial backgrounds.
Department files are appropriately maintained
Work independently in multiple site settings
Applicant Requirements:
Clean background
Clean drug screen
Must have valid Texas driver's license
Bachelor degree in education, social work or related field preferred
Minimum of two years experience full-time paid related experience
