SkyWheel Myrtle Beach is seeking a dependable, team-oriented individual with high energy and a passion for delivering excellent guest service. Qualified candidates will be responsible delivering the highest level of customer service to all guests while selling tickets to the SkyWheel. A Porter will be responsible for the cleanliness of the entire venue including SkyWheel, common areas, retail store, restaurant and restrooms. We are looking for a motivated individual with experience, or the ability and willingness to achieve desired results. This position reports to the Supervisor.

This candidate must be willing to work a flexible schedule in a fast-paced environment. SkyWheel Myrtle Beach is open 7 days a week. Position requires weekend and holiday availability.

Duties and responsibilities

Includes, but not limited to:

• Ensure that facilities are clean and visually compliant with owner expectations
• Clean and sanitize restrooms
• Regularly check bathroom supplies and restock as necessary
• Sweep, mop, pick up debris, wash windows and clean up spills throughout the venue
• Regularly check trash receptacles and empty as necessary
• Remove trash from the property using the provided golf cart transportation
• Follow and comply with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adhere to safe work practices
• Attend safety meetings
• Answer customer questions and provide exceptional customer service
• Document and communicate any facility repairs to the Facilities Maintenance Technician
• Assist Facilities Maintenance Technician with maintaining the venue deck including regular power washing and staining
• Assist Facilities Maintenance Technician with minor maintenance repairs
• Assist Managers/Supervisors with placement of stanchions during busy times

Qualifications include but are not limited to:

• Proven attention to detail and follow-through with excellent organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language
• Must be able to perform common cleaning without supervision
• Ability to lift 50 pounds without difficulty, stand for long periods of time and work in a variety of conditions including heat, cold and rain
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Experience is preferred but not necessary.
