Position Description:

Responsible for batting practice set-up/tear-down, pre-game field preparations, in-game infield drags, post-game clean-up, repairing clay, and other various duties assigned by the Sports Turf Manager. Preferred candidates must be enthusiastic about working outdoors in various weather conditions, possess the ability to lift 50lbs, and stand for extended periods of time. Additionally, strong candidates will possess an acute attention to detail and be team player.

JOB DUTIES:

Bullpen mound maintenance following afternoon throwing activities
Organization of tools for pre-game set-up prior to the conclusion of batting practice
Removal of batting practice equipment including field screens, turf protectors, hitting mats, and other baseball equipment
Pre-game field set-up to include batter's boxes, string lines, bases, pitcher's mound, and warning track areas
Tidy workshop following pre-game set-up
Infield drags following the 3rd and 6th innings
Post game clean-up to include repair of pitching mounds and home plate, backpack blower to clean dirt-grass transitions, and washing bases
Assistance with tarps when necessary

Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds and perform all duties in extreme hot or cold weather and other inclement conditions.
