TRUMPET TEACHERS & MUSIC TEACHERS

MYRIAD MUSIC SCHOOL IS A BUSY, ESTABLISHED highly-rated music school connecting great teachers with dedicated families since 1997. Thousands of students have taken lessons and classes at Myriad. Our facility hosts quality Baldwin and Yamaha pianos, top-notch audio equipment, with 13 well-stocked classrooms, and 30 Teachers and Admin Team in San Mateo. RESPONSIBILITIES & SCHEDULE: Teaching private lessons and small group instruction 2-5 days per week to students of all ability levels, beginners ~ advanced, implementing quality curriculum, resources, student practice incentives programs and more.

Positions open M-F 3-8pm and Sat weekend availability 9am-2pm.

• PREFERRED: Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Music, or currently enrolled in a music degree. Preference is given to those who've earned MM/MA and/or DM/PhD degrees. Teachers with experience coaching Certificate of Merit / ABRSM are preferred.
• PROFESSIONALISM: Applicants demonstrate a high regard for punctuality, have access to reliable transportation, and live in the SF Bay Area. Applicants demonstrate English language proficiency.
• ELIGIBILITY: Applicants must be eligible to work long term in the USA, with supporting documentation. We are not currently pursuing candidates who require visa sponsorship.
• PREFERRED: Teachers preferred with at least 1 year experience teaching music to children ages 6 and up.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

• LIFE - WORK BALANCE / SECURITY: Flexible schedule, Year-Round Employment / Pay for 52 weeks per year, with 9 weeks of vacation. Life balance is a priority at Myriad. Consistent schedules that can be relied upon year-round. Our Teachers’ income is never affected by canceled, rescheduled, or no-show lessons.
• COMPETITIVE COMPENSATION based on your level of education, teaching experience, work performance, ability to collaborate with others, and professional development initiatives.Advancement opportunities are in place for teachers who excel to add more teaching days and additional admin / leadership roles at Myriad. MATCHING 401K PLANS included for all employees. This essentially means that you are giving yourself an automatic raise by opting in! 5-10% pay increase upon contract renewal for continuing teachers.

Pay: $50.00 - $80.00 per hour, depending on your roles within our school.
