The Medical Technologist is responsible for the collection, processing, and analysis of biological specimens in the laboratory. This position is also responsible for the preparation of reagents and has comprehensive knowledge of specimen collection (such as venipuncture or collecting hazardous or infectious materials for culture) in order to act as backup to phlebotomy team and may perform venipuncture and/or collect cultures.
Medical Laboratory Technician OR Medical Technologist OR Medical Laboratory Scientist Degree Required
Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science/Technology or a bachelor’s degree in a science or health related field with national MLS certification may also be considered.
Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science/Technology required.
