POSITION DESCRIPTION :
The Data Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory-related data in system. The role requires a disciplined attention to detail and accuracy.
The Data Specialist will report directly to the Director of Accounting and work closely with the materials and engineering teams.
PRIMARY DUTIES :
- Daily audit of inventory transactions
- Assist with implementation of the ERP system
- Maintain accurate data in the inventory and accounting systems
- Manage data imports of BOMs and Item Lists
- Export daily reports to identify errors and assure system accuracy
- Participate in cycle counting and inventory audits to discover and report discrepancies
- Determine root causes for inventory discrepancies and implement processes to reduce errors
- Support month- and year-end close processes
- Assist and audit the annual Physical Inventory process
- Maintain company records
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance Required.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment Required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft excel Required.
- Experience with ERP systems Required.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills Required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills Required.
- Familiarity with Bills of Material Preferred.
- US Citizenship or C1 Permanent Resident Alien status.
