Job Overview: The Order Management Supervisor oversees the daily operations of all special-order processing functions, assuring that internal and external customers enjoy a positive, professional, and productive interaction with all team members. This position manages the day-to-day operations of the Myers Order Management team including distribution of work, time keeping, coaching/training of order management representatives, annual performance appraisals, and customer escalations. This role also supports strategic improvements consistent with corporate goals and initiatives, focusing on improving customer retention through a high-quality customer experience. The successful candidate will demonstrate sound business acumen and mastery of all internal processes. Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupport outside sales representatives with product information, timely and accurate order status and escalate exceptions to ordersResearch customer requests or complaints regarding product availability, shipment, quantity, quality, delivery and lead-time and take corrective action as neededWork in a consultative manner with both inside sales and external customers, and foster a cohesive environmentwithin the sales support services team and across multiple departmentsEnsure accurate submission of customer orders and change ordersValidate pricing, quantity, and product specifications on all orders upon initial receiptCheck inventory, price, lead time, and status of delivery identifying process exceptionsRespond to phone calls and emails in a professional manner and in timely fashionReview and authorize return goods, invoice adjustments, and warranty claimsCoach, counsel, and discipline employees; communicate job expectations and monitor performanceUtilize reporting to track KPIs to ensure order accuracy and on-time deliverySupervises a team of individual contributors Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Read, analyze, interpret and organize general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulationWrite reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals in a professional mannerEffectively present information and respond to questions from groups of employees, managers, clients, customers, and the general publicRead and comprehend complex instructions, detailed correspondence, and vendor contractsExcel Expert, responsible for designing and implementing spreadsheets, analyzing data, and providing insight that drives business growth Education and Experience Minimum two years’ experience leading a teamHigh school diploma required, college degree preferredComputer proficiency with Microsoft Office productsJD Edwards experience, preferredSalesforce proficiency, preferred Physical Requirements The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
