General Laborer/Forklift Operator

REPORTS TO: Service Manager

SUPERVISES: None

PURPOSE: Primary purpose is to help execute the processes and flow throughout our Service and Parts Department.

RESPONSIBILTIES:

• Operate forklifts and front loaders to load/unload cargo coming in and going out of our Parts Department, or being installed in our Service Department.
• Maneuver vehicles around the lot to their designated spots for our Service Department.
• Wash customer owned vehicles before pickup/delivery.
• Assist with the salvage of used buses for scrap or exporting alongside other technicians.
• Facility upkeep, i.e. mowing, weed whipping, painting, sweeping floors, ect.
• Drive company owned vehicles to vendor and customer locations for pickups or deliveries.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Language Skills
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Mathematical Skills
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written, or oral, instructions.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few or several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to work outside in all seasons and weather.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and spend long durations of time on your feet.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
