MyCare Medical Group is Hiring a Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) Near Saint Petersburg, FL

MyCare Medical Group is seeking a highly experienced and patient-centric Internal or Family Medicine Physician to join our team in southern Pinellas County. You would be joining a rapidly growing company and a premier organization with market leading patient satisfaction scores.

Our Primary Care Physicians (PCP) are extremely driven, continuously aiming high to create the ultimate whole person healthcare experience for our patients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Adult Only Patient Panel with an expectation of seeing 12 – 15 patients per day
  • Proficient in diagnosing, treating and managing the Medicare Advantage population with multiple comorbidities.
  • Diagnose, treat and counsel patients on their current medical conditions and educate patients on preventative health measures, including performing annual physicals
  • Demonstrates both autonomy and proficiency in performance of comprehensive health assessments and communicate Plan of Care with Patients and/or their families.
  • Ensure that all charts and medical records are accurately completed in a timely manner; and adhere to all clinical policies and procedures
  • Perform such clinical procedures for patient's benefit which are within scope and skill of practitioner, and which are economically feasible
  • Provide direction and leadership to the clinic's medical support staff, regarding the administering of a patient's care
  • Provide supervision in case assignment to nurse practitioner/physician assistant, including sign off on charts, where applicable
  • Effectively communicates with all members of the care team and facilitates a medically appropriate and effective plan of care to avoid unnecessary duplication of testing, and fragmentation of care

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree from accredited MD OR DO accredited program; Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine is preferred.
  • Board Certified OR Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
  • Unrestricted Medical License and DEA Licensure in the state of Florida or the ability to obtain a license prior to employment
  • Up-to-date CPR Certification and Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve complex and multifaceted situations
  • Ability to use Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system – specifically eClinical Works (ECW)
  • Knowledge of Medical Advantage, HEIDS, MRA and ICD-10 Coding is a plus
  • Comfortable managing a primarily Medicare-aged patient population
  • Knowledge of Value-Based Care models
