My Vision is Hiring an Ophthalmic Technician Near Fountain, PA

Position

Part-Time potentially Full-time

Responsibilities

-Preparing exam rooms and cleaning ocular equipment

-Greeting patients, answering questions, and take personal and family medical histories

- Pre-testing patients (performing diagnostic tests such as visual acuity, depth perception, measuring pressure inside of the eye, color vision and pupil reflexes and administering eye drops

-Instructing patients in inserting and caring for contact lenses as well as managing Contact lens inventory.

-Booking appointments, preparing exam schedules and attending phone calls when necessary.

-Assisting customers with frame selections and adjusting and repairing frames.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • An Associate's degree in medical assisting may be a benefit
  • An Optometric Assistant Certification may be a benefit
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to multi-task.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
