We started by being a voice for safer roads and providing legendary roadside assistance, but now we do so much more. From spectacular holiday destinations, car rentals and boats on our waterways, to leading the EV charging roll-out to prepare for the future of driving, speaking out for change in government policy and supporting sustainable travel. Forget what you thought you knew about the NRMA – take a look on the inside and you’ll discover that life with us is more than just a job – it’s your chance to make a difference together. Job DescriptionWe currently have a full-time permanent role for an experienced Regional Safety Business Partner to join the Group Safety team where you will focus on governance, risk, safety and compliance for the NRMA Parks and Resorts portfolio.In this role, you will be responsible for minimising risk across the business to ensure compliance with Work Health, Safety and Environmental statutory obligations, Park Management contracts, leases, licenses and permits to ensure all requirements are being met. A key deliverable includes the development, implementation and continuous improvement of procedures and systems to ensure compliance and best practice within the NRMA Group Safety Management system.You will be required to travel on a regular basis to liaise with Park Managers, resolve issues, perform park inspections and provide on-site training to new Park Managers. You may also be required at times to take after-hours calls to support the Leadership team and on-site Managers.Your key responsibilities will include:Manage WHSE, risk and compliance functions for NRMA Parks and Resorts including ensuring Park’s compliance with WHS Laws and NRMA Group PolicyImplement risk minimisation and compliance strategies together with recommending cost-effective risk minimisation strategies and action to the NRMA Group Safety teamMaintain, manage and continuously improve the NRMA Parks and Resorts safety, environment, risk management and compliance systemsDevelop training needs analysis for holiday park operational staff as well review and develop Health and Safety training material including online training modules, Standard Operating and Safe Work ProceduresFacilitate on-site WHSE training for new management teams at NRMA Parks and Resorts Training Park and individual parks as requiredProvide technical expert WHSE advice to staff and parks as requiredMaintain, review and audit NRMA’s Parks and Resorts incident and hazard register, self-assessment, scheduled tasks and audit functionsEmergency and crisis managementIdentify, provide advice, report and follow-up on compliance related business risksManage public liability injury and investigationsAnnually review the Operational Plans in consultation with NRMA Parks and Resorts Operations teamUndertake Annual HSE systems audits including AS4801, ISO45001 and conduct or facilitate annual on-site safety inspection of each Holiday ParkUndertake various project work as delegated by the COO or NRMA Group Safety Staff such as the preparation of reports and submissions including tenders, planning approvals, technical reviews, external reporting and other Corporate reports prepared on behalf of NRMA Parks and ResortsSupport and promote NRMA Parks and Resorts positive Safety Culture by developing and implementing user-friendly systems and procedures.What You’ll BringMinimum of 5 years' WHSE, Compliance and Risk Management working in a multiple discipline management modelExperience in the holiday park or hospitality industry (desirable but not essential)Experience in developing and implementing WHSE, risk & compliance management systemsPractical application and knowledge of relevant WSHE legislation, regulations, codes of practice & standards, risk management and complianceDemonstrated experience in the interpretation and implementation of policies, procedures, operational plans and contractsAbility to conduct workplace audits and risk managementExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and negotiateHighly developed analytical and written communication skills and ability to write technical reports and corporate submissions at an Executive levelExperience in developing & conducting training and inductionsHigh level problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to prepare complex technical advice and recommendations.Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and deliver outcomes within agreed timeframesAbility to train and motivate managers to achieve their contractual obligations in relation to WHSE and compliance.Effectively implement change management in a growth organisation.What’s in it for you?At the NRMA we aren’t just about discounts (although you do get these).
