Registered Nurse - Telemetry
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Telemetry unit. As a member of our healthcare team, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients in need. Responsibilities:
- Monitor and interpret patient vital signs and telemetry readings
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Perform physical examinations and assessments
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide patient education on disease management, medication administration, and discharge planning
- Assist with procedures such as catheterization, gastric lavage, and dermal fillers
- Ensure accurate documentation of patient information and maintain medical records
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a hospital setting, preferably in telemetry or critical care
- Proficient in interpreting telemetry readings and identifying abnormal rhythms
- Strong assessment skills and ability to recognize changes in patient condition
- Knowledge of discharge planning processes and resources for post-hospital care
- Familiarity with occupational health practices and procedures
- Experience working with patients with dementia or cognitive impairments is a plus
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Washington
- BLS certification (ACLS certification preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
