The Shipping/Receiving Associate I is responsible for the processing of all daily shipping activities, ensuring the on-time delivery (OTD) of all shipments, and helping to achieve monthly sales goals.

Essential Job Description:

• Verifies products prior to packaging and follows packaging instructions.
• Prepares items for shipment, including completing shipping notices, bills of lading, pack lists and any other required documents.
• Determines shipping priorities, work assignments and shipping methods to meet shipping schedules, utilizing knowledge of customer requirements, shipping procedures, shipping routes and rates.
• Follows work instructions to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and condition of outgoing shipments.
• Effectively communicates with all internal departments, outside suppliers, and customers for delivering orders on time.
• Other shipping/receiving functions.

• UPS and Fed-X Software
• Proficiency with MS Office applications and label printing software.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma/GED.
• 1-2 years’ shipping/receiving experience.
• Experience with UPS and FedEx shipping software, manufacturing enterprise software (Visual, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent), and specific customer portals.

Physical Requirements:

• Move/lift/carry up to 45 pounds with assistance from lifting equipment.
• Stand up to 6 hours per day.
• Ability to stoop and bend.
