Position Summary :

We're on the lookout for a seasoned systems administrator keen on leveraging and expanding their tech prowess. In this position, the ideal candidate will actively safeguard our vital information systems and assets, devise solutions, integrate new software and hardware, offer training, and contribute to shaping our overarching IT strategy.

Essential Functions –

• Administer cloud resources, handling tasks such as user and group management, security permissions, group policy implementation, print services, event log analysis, and resource monitoring, to ensure seamless integration of system architecture components.
• Use existing management tools to monitor cloud services health, address infrastructure issues as they arise, and assist in the creation, testing, and maintenance of new server or database as required.
• Manage internal infrastructure needs, including maintaining laptops, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates, and supporting internet, intranet, LAN, WAN, and network segments.
• Collaborate with other teams to troubleshoot issues, determine root causes, and provide necessary technical support.
• Conduct routine and scheduled system audits, including backup verification and integrity checks.
• Contribute to regular internal access reviews.
• Drive the timely resolution of vulnerabilities on client PCs, Cloud based servers, and network devices such as firewalls, routers, switches, wireless access points, and printers.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies -

• ITIL experience is essential for ensuring that IT services are aligned with the needs of the business, enabling efficient service management, continuous improvement, and enhanced customer satisfaction through standardized processes and best practices. This expertise helps in optimizing resource use, reducing service disruptions, and improving overall service quality.
• Experience with Windows patching tools like WSUS is crucial for maintaining system security and stability by ensuring that all Windows servers and workstations are up-to-date with the latest patches and updates, thereby minimizing vulnerabilities and enhancing overall network performance.
• Experience with Zscaler is vital for implementing advanced cloud security solutions that protect users and data by securely connecting them to applications, regardless of device or location, ensuring robust threat protection and seamless user experiences in a cloud-first environment.
• Basic experience in PowerShell and batch scripting is essential for automating routine tasks, streamlining system administration, and improving efficiency by enabling the creation of custom scripts to manage and configure IT environments effectively.
• Networking experience is crucial for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust and efficient network infrastructures, ensuring seamless connectivity, optimal performance, and secure communication between devices and systems within an organization.
• Understanding project management methodologies is essential for effectively planning, executing, and closing projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget, while also improving collaboration and resource management.
• Intermediate experience in AWS infrastructure is essential for efficiently managing and optimizing cloud resources, ensuring scalable, secure, and cost-effective deployment and maintenance of applications and services on the AWS platform.

Qualifications -

Bachelor’s degree in technology or computer science, or equivalent work experience.
