MV Advancements is Hiring a Supported Living Direct Support Professional (DSP) Near McMinnville, OR

What do Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in a Supported Living Program do?
Direct Support Professionals, at their core, are the support crew. We work to help adults who experience disabilities live their most independent and fulfilling life. Our Supported Living DSP team meets individuals where they are to provide targeted supports that meet their needs and goals. A day at SLP can look varied, from grocery shopping and paying bills to helping someone get in/out of a shower to sitting down with them and planning their next vacation. We work hard to ensure our people can continue living in their own homes as independently as possible.

Sometimes the solution that worked last week with one individual isn't going to work this week. What else can we try? Use your creativity and customer service mindset to partner with the individual served to reach the goal.

Documentation and paperwork are part of the job, just like going on adventures and supporting someone on their Vegas Vacation are a part of the job. Being your best means bringing the same energy to each task, whatever it may be!
  • We Got This!-- Supporting people with a "can-do positive attitude" is a team sport at MVA! We are all here to ensure the work gets done and that the people in our care live their BEST lives. Collaboration with your MVA team and external partners is how we ensure people get to live their best life.
  • PIVOT!-- Did not see that coming. Not a problem; adjust, adapt, and flourish. Every day at MVA is an adventure (and a fun one). What you had planned that morning may suddenly need to shift to meet a more pressing need. Pivot and keep moving forward.
Customer Service, Patience, Persistence, Openness to Learning, and Collaboration are AMAZING skills to bring to this role. Everything else, we can teach you.
Salary
This position starts at a competitive wage of $18.00 per hour, with a 15% shift differential. We also offer a $500 sign-on bonus--$250 at the time of hire and $250 after your first six months. All hours worked between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM and any hours worked on Saturday, and Sunday earn a shift differential of 15% of your hourly rate! At $18.00, your shift differential would be $2.70 per hour, for a total hourly rate of $20.70!
