Muth Electric is Hiring an Electrical Estimator Near , SD

The major responsibilities for the Estimator position are to provide accurate quotations and timely cost estimates for various sizes and types of Commercial and Industrial electrical projects; to write purchase orders and other required paperwork to vendors & subcontractors for awarded projects, and participating in project analysis to ensure satisfaction with owners and general contractors.

  • Qualified candidates must be a licensed Journeyworker, have experience in both commercial and industrial wiring, and exhibit excellent organizational, people and communication skills.
  • Review building plans and their elements to make accurate price estimates for electrical projects
  • Calculate the potential profitability of projects
  • Answer questions for clients about their electrical work
  • Share your findings through written briefs
  • Evaluate the labor and materials costs of electrical projects
  • Qualified candidates may be located in Mitchell, SD, Sioux Falls, SD, Rapid City, SD, or Omaha, NE. All training will be performed at the Corporate office in Mitchell, SD.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as an electrician or in this industry
  • Ability to provide highly-accurate estimates for a wide variety of electrical projects
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Professional demeanor and appearance
  • Ability to interpret blueprints

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $69,853.59 - $84,124.76 per year

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

  • Bonus opportunities

Experience:

  • Commercial electrician: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:

  • Journeyman Electrician (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

  • South Dakota: Relocate before starting work (Required)
