Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Collector to join our team. As a Medical Collector, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely collection of medical payments from patients and insurance companies. Your expertise in medical billing, coding, and collections will contribute to the financial success of our healthcare organization.

Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze medical records, bills, and insurance claims
- Verify patient information, insurance coverage, and claim details
- Follow up with patients and insurance companies regarding outstanding balances
- Negotiate payment arrangements and settlements with patients and insurance providers
- Utilize medical coding systems (such as ICD-10) to accurately assign codes to diagnoses and procedures
- Understand and apply reimbursement methodologies, including DRG (Diagnosis Related Group)
- Maintain accurate documentation of all collection activities
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to resolve billing issues and ensure proper reimbursement

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding systems, and billing processes
- Proficiency in using medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interactions
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
