This is a paid training opportunity to complete Music City Construction Career's Apprenticeship Readiness Program.

This three-week program prepares individuals from all backgrounds to enter paid apprenticeships in the skilled construction trades. We offer a $600 stipend, OSHA 10 Certification, and CPR/First Aid Certification, and Multi-Craft Core Curriculum Certification to all participants. Program graduates receive apprenticeship placement services after completion. This program is free and no previous work experience is required.

After completion, we work with graduates 1-on-1 to gain entrance to the Union apprenticeship program of their choosing. Available trades include: Electrician, Plumber, Pipefitter, HVAC Technician, Carpenter, Sheet Metal, Iron Worker, Insulator, and many more.

After apprenticeship placement, average starting pay is $16/hr and $23/hr benefits, with scheduled raises leading to an annual salary of $50,000-$75,000/year benefits after 3-5 year apprenticeship.

Minimum Requirements:

• 18
• Diploma/GED
• Successful drug screen
• Legal eligibility to work in the U.S.
• English proficiency
• Ability to drive and personal vehicle to get to and from work up.
• Willingness to commute up to 1 hour outside of Nashville daily.
• Candidates with past convictions encouraged to apply--all applicants will be considered

Our program is sponsored by the Central Labor Council of Mid TN and Nashville Building Trades Council and teaches the North America Building Trades Unions’ nationally-recognized 120-hour Multi-Craft Core Curriculum. Upon completion of this program, our team will work with you on an Apprenticeship Placement Plan in order to get you started in your desired field as quickly as possible. Estimated time for job placement after graduating this program is 2-8 weeks.
