SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Senior Production Fabricator operates and maintains industrial woodworking and metal fabrication machinery, ensuring the construction and Installation of exhibits that align with the design specifications established by museum exhibition teams. The Senior Production Fabricator will leverage their expertise in construction techniques and demonstrate meticulous attention to detail to produce final museum-quality exhibit components and prototypes. The role also exemplifies a steadfast commitment to safety, consistently adhering to museum policies, government regulations, and industry best practices for workplace safety. Working closely with exhibit design and technical design teams, the Senior Production Fabricator ensures components are buildable, can be constructed cost-effectively, and may review and enhance design drawings as well as provide cost estimates, stock lists, and construction specifications. The Senior Production Fabricator will sometimes be required to mentor and assist other carpenters and technical staff on projects and lead particular builds within the shop.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Three or more years of exhibit experience.
STARTING SALARY:
Non-Exempt (Hourly) $36.06-$38.46
