Market Development Specialist

The Musco Marketing Team is currently seeking a Market Development Specialist to work from our Oskaloosa office. This position will focus on providing a bridge between marketing and sales through the use of research and data combined with field sales and customer conversations to identify trends and opportunities for the development of specific territories. What you will do as a Market Development Specialist

Analysis & Development

• Provide territory trend analysis and continuous feedback to sales & marketing leadership
• Identify development needs and ways to build relationships and generate new sales opportunities
• Help territory implementation of new initiatives, products, and services
• Travel with the sales team and talk with customers to understand the market activity, issues, and needs

Promotions & Events

• Build relationships and ensure follow-through on partnerships and sponsorships
• Optimize planning and execution of territory activities such as lunch-n-learns, webinars, tradeshows, direct marketing, ads, promotions, entertainment
• Organize field customer events and tours in Iowa

What you will need to be successful

• 2-5 years of Marketing, Sales, or Data Analysis experience preferred
• A proven track record of developing marketing plans and focused efforts on developmental strategy
• Specific knowledge of and experience with research methods and trends
• Must be self-directed and able to make informed decisions independently
• Strong computer skills and ability to balance priority with good time management
• Ability to learn, understand and teach technical concepts and information
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Expecting about 30% travel for field activities
