Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Front Desk Insurance Coordinator. As the Front Desk Insurance Coordinator, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the front desk area, ensuring efficient and exceptional customer service along with 3 other front office team members to help support you in the daily tasks. This would include check in and check out, and verifying and entering insurance benefits.
Duties:
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, verifying insurance information, and collecting payments
- Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide accurate information to patients
- Coordinate with staff to ensure smooth patient flow
- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
- Handle any patient concerns or complaints in a timely and professional manner
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a medical or dental office setting
- Strong knowledge of dental administrative support procedures and terminology
- Proficient in using administrative software systems (e.g., Eaglesoft) and MS Office Suite
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance standards
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling patient information
