Murray Custom Homes is Hiring a Project Manager/Selections Coordinator Near Lincoln, NE

Project Manager/Selections Coordinator

Murray Custom Homes, also home to Murray Roofing and Murray Inspections, is a well-established construction company that is continuing to grow!

We are currently looking for a full-time Project Manager/Selections Coordinator who is responsible for the overall project planning and scheduling of residential construction projects. The Project Manager responsibilities span a broad spectrum covering all areas of project management – project planning, cost management, time management, client coordination, and quality management. The Selections Coordinator responsibilities provide resources for all custom home clients with their selections within their home and coordinating with other project managers accordingly.

Responsibilities could include, but not limited to:

  • Oversee the construction project from start to finish.
  • Perform a key role in project planning, budgeting, and identification of resources needed.
  • Responsible for the construction project delivery, working with others and achieving a successful outcome of the projects.
  • Good communication skills, as you will be in constant communication, both written and verbal, with owners, subcontractors, vendors, and fellow employees.
  • Develop estimates and bids accurately.
  • Work well under pressure.
  • Monitor all costs on the project to ensure accuracy and staying within budget.
  • Forecast project costs and make adjustments to ensure job stays within budget.
  • Process payment requests.
  • Resolve conflicts as it relates to the personnel and construction documents.
  • Promote a safe working environment.
  • Develop and nurture long-term relationships with clients and subcontractors.
  • Ensure that construction activities move according to predetermined schedule
  • Communicate effectively with the contractors responsible for completing various phases of the project
  • Monitor the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and hold regular status meetings with all the sub-teams
  • Periodic inspection of construction sites
  • Facilitate selection meeting with designers and homeowners
  • Create and update option pricing matrices to determine the retail price and cost for measured options (e.g. flooring, countertops, and vertical surfaces)
  • Ensure all option requests, upgrade or non-standard, are available and are accurate and consistent across the division for clients
  • Create, maintain, and distribute features and selection books and preview/orientation pricing packets to assist buyers, where applicable
  • Coordinate with clients for all selections ensuring items are selected accordingly to meet deadlines

Qualifications

  • Previous experience is desired
  • Proficient if Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Must be detail oriented and a self-starter.
  • Must have strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Work well with other people.
  • Driver’s license
