We Are Looking For Someone Like You
As a Project Engineer, Fab Shop you will be vital member of Murphy’s Pre-Fabrication team. You will be responsible for pulling detailed information together for our shop crews so they may, in turn, produce fabricated assemblies for our on-site installation crews. You will assist in the tracking of shop activities, procurement of materials, and generally assist the Shop Managers with the day to activities required to run an efficient Fabrication Shop. You will be using our in-house and 3rd party software packages and databases.
Your Day-to-Day at Murphy Company
· Prepare work packages for the Shop Floor.
· Track and assist with procuring project materials.
· Maintain shop productivity tracking & scheduling databases.
· Prepare project reports.
· Assist with shop drawings.
· Assist Shop Manager with estimate/takeoffs.
· Assist Shop Manager with Safety Activities.
· Work with newest Shop Technology

Our ideal candidate should possess the following traits:
· Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
· Good base computer skills with ability to learn new software packages.
· Basic understanding of construction materials and methods (mechanical ability).
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Solid communications skills.
· Willingness to adhere to safety protocols.
· Autodesk CAD and/or Revit product experience is a plus.
· Ability to work with a wide variety of personalities where they are your customer.
