Overview
The HVAC Service Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing various HVAC systems in both residential and commercial settings.
The role requires technical expertise and prior experience installing and / or maintaining HVAC systems as well as excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Essential Functions
Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues to identify root cause of issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
Inspect and perform maintenance on HVAC systems and related components.
Repair and / or replace defective parts and components of HVAC systems such as compressors, motors, fans, thermostats, filters and control units.
Conduct tests to ensure the efficiency and performance of HVAC systems and recommend or perform appropriate maintenance and repairs.
Provide the highest quality customer service through professional explanation of work performed and recommendations made as well as answering clients’ questions in a courteous and professional manner.
Maintain accurate records of work performed.
Adhere to all company safety regulations and state / local laws.
Maintain a clean, organized work environment and respect clients’ homes / business spaces.
Perform additional duties and assist in other departments as assigned.
Minimum Skills and Experience Required
High school diploma or equivalent
EPA License / HVAC License
At least 2 years prior experience performing HVAC maintenance and / or installation
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints and diagrams
Ability to utilize tablet / smartphone to track orders, jobs, and work performed
Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call for emergency repairs and service
Valid driver’s license
